Friends Projects Completed

Three friends brought completed projects in and are they sweet.

There brought in this sweet cardigan that she made for her granddaughter. Therese knit it using Berrocco Pure Cotton Pima. The patter is  "Girl's Lacy Cardigan" found in Sirdar Book#332. Therese added the sweet label.

Doris completed a striking feather and fan stole for a summer wedding she will be attending. Good job Doris. Doris also brought in this wool bag she has from Cottage Crafts located in St Andrews, New Brunswick. She thinks it is over 25 years old. Very cute.

Nancy from work completed this hoodie for her granddaughter.The pattern is "Two Button Hoodie" a free pattern from Caron Yarn. Designed by Melissa Matthay and the yarn is Caron Simply Soft Paints. Great job Nancy.

Clowning Around Socks

Completed my handspun socks. Made from 130 grams SW BFL fibre. Purchased in May on Etsy from the FibreImp. The colorway is Clowning Around. Spun Z on my  Schacht Ladybug DT, high speed whorl in DD and then Navajo plied. Gauge is 9sts by 13sts. Knit toe up on 2mm, 40 inch circular needle, two at the same time.

Progressive Dye

Given the events going on in Moncton yesterday I elected not to go spinning in the afternoon. Instead I stayed at home and dyed four ounces of Superwash BFL in a progression from dark pink to white. I used food color and call the finished colorway "Mixed Berry Pie". The fibre was purchased from

Projects Completed

Last week Deina showed off her completed felted Fiber Trend clogs. Gorgeous gold and brown for her and funky blue multi for her granddaughter. Nathalie showed off her finished shrug.
