I fell in love with Jenny King's #9 Crochet Jacket from Noro Magazine Issue 7. I started it on March 14th and completed it in four days. I used five skeins of Knit Picks Chroma worsted New England. My yarn gauge was unusually thin for a worsted weight hence the large hook size of 8mm/L. I purchased the yarn from Knit Picks a few years back when it was on sale. I’m so happy I did because it is super soft and I love the colours. I love the pattern and the finished product.
I also completed Nadia Fuad's Pizzazz Poncho. She has a great video tutorial on her website Yarnutopia . I fell in love with the pattern the moment I first saw it. I used 12 different Paton’s Classic Merino in small amounts from my stash; bright red, Aran, plum heather, black, magnolia, black tweed, aquarium, dark grey, orchid, lemongrass, rich red tweed and natural mix. A skein of Bernat Cashmere Earth. Briggs and Little Heritage orange and yellow. Tiny amounts of Berroco Vintage colors Oasis and Berroco Ultra Alpaca Peat Mix.
My poncho was asymmetrical so I shifted the back tab to the right and started in the 7th DC from center. I wanted a definite front with a V neck.
Keep your sticks in the yarn.
Until next time.
